According to ChatGPT, Entrepreneurial leadership is a leadership style that focuses on innovation, risk-taking, and creating new opportunities. Entrepreneurial leaders are those who are able to identify unmet needs in the market, and create solutions to meet those needs through the creation of new products, services, or businesses. They possess the vision, drive, and determination to bring their ideas to fruition, often in the face of significant uncertainty and risk. Entrepreneurial leaders are typically results-driven, action-oriented, and highly motivated to succeed, and they inspire and motivate their teams to do the same. Entrepreneurial leadership is characterized by a willingness to experiment, a willingness to learn from failure, and a focus on continuous improvement. Ultimately, entrepreneurial leadership is about creating value and making a positive impact on the world.
There has been a lot of talk lately about the use of ChatGPT. However, in this case I agree 100% with what this AI had to say. The Stern Truth is that not all entrepreneurs are leaders and not all leaders are entrepreneurs. The same can be said for us as business owners. Not all business owners are leaders or entrepreneurs. The real opportunity for us as small business owners is to STOP just being an employee owner business operator owner and really becoming an Entrepreneurial Leader type owner. This is one of the main reasons I began coaching and mentoring other business owners over 11 years ago. I truly believe the key to success and getting the results that you want is to first get clear on your vision and then focus each day on the activities that moves you towards the vision. Then along the journey we need to surround ourselves with a strong team and inner circle. We need to navigate and alter course on an "as needed" basis.
This is what leaders do. We need to be willing to take risks and be willing to fail and then learn from those experiences. We need to know we will get knocked down from time to time but the key is to know this and then get back up.
